Ingredients
Meatloaf Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef (extra lean 96%)
- 1 ½ slices Whole Wheat bread (remove crusts)
- 1 C onions (chopped)
- 2 egg whites
- 3 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Topping Ingredients:
- ¼ C ketchup
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 tsp brown sugar (packed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Prep loaf pan with nonstick baking spray.
- Shred slices of bread by hand to make bread crumbs,
- Add the meat, bread crumbs, onion, egg whites, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire
sauce, salt and pepper. - WIth your hand mix all of these ingredients together.
- Form a loaf.
- Place the meatloaf in the prepared loaf pan.
Making the topping:
- Add the ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar to a small bowl.
- Use a kitchen brush to paint the topping over the meatloaf.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
- Check to make sure the meatloaf is done.
- Set the meatloaf aside to cool for 10 minutes.
- Slice and serve.
